Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) In Classroom Training
CRMA 40 Hour - Course Description
This is an approved program though DHHS/BEAS. It is designed to teach Residential Care Workers to administer selected non-injectable medications in a Licensed Residential Care or Group Home setting. The course also provides the basic understanding needed to administer medications and to document accurately and safely.
Requirements
Enrollment into this course requires that the student have a HS Diploma, GED, or proof of 10th grade competency level on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) AND proof of age 18. Students must be registered by and sponsored by a facility that will be conducting the 6 medication passes required for completion of the course. If this is not a possibility, please discuss this with our office staff. We may be able to assist you in this area,

CRMA 24 Hour - Course Description
Residential and Group Homes serving people with mental retardation, licensed by DHHS/BEAS as Level III have been granted a waiver of the CRMA requirements until July 1, 2006. These homes can continue to have people trained under the 24-hour curriculum. The number of medication passes for this course is 3 under the supervision of a CRMA or RN (recommended). If that person wished to be employed in other work setting, then he/she will have to complete the Bridge Course and 6 medication passes after the 24-hour program, than an additional 3 medication passes by an RN and the Bridge Course must be taken. Students must meet the same course requirements as the CRMA (5 day) program (i.e. 18 years of age, education etc).

CRMA 8 Hour Bridge - Course Description
This class is for CRMA's needing to upgrade their 24 hour certificate to a 40 hour certification. This class must be taken before the 24 hour certification expires, or the student will need to complete an entire 24 or 40 hour course to obtain certification .
Requirements
This class must be taken before the 24 hour certification expires. If the existing 24 hour certification expires, the 40 hour class will need to be taken, in order to receive the 40 hour CRMA certification.

CRMA 8 Hour Recert - Course Description
This class is for students who need to update their CRMA Certification, every 2 years.
Requirements
Enrollment in this class requires that the student have a previous CRMA Certification. The 8 hour Bridge and the 8 hour CRMA Recert are held on the same day/time
